2 DAY SAFARI LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK

Lake Mburo National is the smallest national parks in Uganda located approximately 240km (by road) west of Kampala. It is about 4 hours to drive to the Park. The park has beautiful sceneries from the coiling hills, the green forests, seasonal swamps to lakes to the Savannah grasslands.

The park is home to over 70 mammal species such as leopards, buffaloes, warthogs, and zebras as well as various bird species. The park itself has 5 lakes with different fish species such as tilapia, herds of hippos, among others. It has one of the largest numbers of Zebras in the region.

Other species such as leopards, hyenas, and side stripped jackals can be seen as you drive through the park in the night.

Day 1

Depart for Lake Mburo National Park, an evening Boat ride.

After morning breakfast, you will be picked up by our driver guide, he will also brief you more about the 2 Days safari in Lake Mburo. An adventurous drive to towards the Western region of Uganda through towns of Lyantonde and Masaka after which we have a stopover at Mpambire drum makers village where you will observe and also get to know the art and craft of the drum makers.

Upon arrival at the park, proceed for lunch at our reserved hotel or lodge of your choice. Later on, as you proceed along the park trails you will spot various animals such as the buffaloes, zebras, waterbucks, elands and warthogs. Early evening a boat ride along the lake where you will have a chance to see and understand different animals like the hippos, crocodiles, and birds like the fishing eagles. After return to the lodge for diner and an overnight.

Day 2

Morning Game drive

Having hard breakfast, off the game drive through the Park which will take around 3 hours. This will give you an amazing foretaste of the Savannah and the 5 lakes. A variety of animals such as hyenas, buffaloes, antelopes, zebras, hippos, also not overlooking the different bird species on the acacia trees lamenting beautiful melodies. Later after the game drive we check out and head to Kampala/ your resident, having a stopover in Masaka town for lunch and also at the Equator for photos as you continue to Kampala
