3 DAY TRIP LAKE BUNYONYI TOUR UGANDA

Lake Bunyonyi is found in the South Western part of Uganda lying between Kisoro and Kabale close to the boarder of Uganda and Rwandan. It is Uganda’s deepest lake in the region and said to be the second deepest lake in Africa lying on an altitude of about 1960meters above sea level and it has 29 islands. The Lake is among Uganda’s few lakes that are Bilharzia free and safe for swimming.

It is a 7-hour drive from Kampala to Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi also appears on the Uganda’s fifty-thousand-shilling note. It is on of Uganda’s finest worth visiting.

Day 1

Travel from Kampala to lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast in Kampala a, we then set off to Southwestern Uganda for an amazing experience in Lake Bunyonyi. Along the way stop over at the equator and take photos and do some shopping. We then continue to Mbarara town where you will have lunch before heading to Kabale. On reaching Kabale town, continue to Lake Bunyonyi the evening.
Check in at the lodge of your choice, have dinner and an overnight.


Day 2

Tour around Lake Bunyonyi (sight-seeing, Canoe/boat cruise, bird watching, and community walks)
After morning breakfast, we first visit the Abaheesi and Batwa communities, interact with them and learn about their ways of life and cultural heritage, it is an interesting adventure. In the afternoon we have lunch at the resort and in the evening have a boat cruise on the lake where you will get to view various birds, beautiful landscape including some of the 29 islands on this lake.
Return to the lodge, have dinner and have an overnight.
Day 3

Take a village walk and the drive you back to Kampala
Have breakfast, and have the last glimpse of the stunning landscape plus a nature walk around the area. Then drive to Kampala stopping in Mbarara town for lunch. You will arrive in Kampala in the evening.
