12 Day wildlife and gorilla safari in Uganda
Tour overview
The safari takes you to most of Uganda’s finest destinations which includes the following;
Murchison Falls which is famous for variety of wildlife and boat cruises, the animal species in this park include; lions, antelopes, kobs, elephants, bush bucks, birds and many more.
Bwindi impenetrable national park in western Uganda. This park has got over 330 mountain gorillas making it half of the mountain gorillas remaining in the whole world.
Kibale National Park which is also famous for chimpanzee trekking and many other primate species including the golden monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys and many more.
Queen Elizabeth famous for the Kazinga channel and many animal species including the tree climbing lions found in Ishasha sector of the park. The other species found in this park include the chimpanzees in Kyambura Gorge, the birds, elephants, kobs, antelopes among others.
Lake Mburo National park, this is the smallest park in Uganda and is famous for the Zebras and the Giraffes and many other animal species.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1
Transfer to Murchison falls National Park
A will drive to Murchison falls which is one of the largest national parks in via Luwero town, have a stopover at Zziwa Rhino sanctuary in order to appreciate these black and white Rhinos. This sanctuary was established primarily to protect these rhinos from poachers.
we then proceed to Masindi, on reaching Masindi we stop over at any hotel for your lunch and after continue to Murchison falls national park where we hike to the peak of the falls and get a beautiful view of these waterfalls.
The wildlife species here such as crocodiles, hippos, leopards, lions, hyenas, elephants, buffalos, giraffes, primates like the monkeys and the many bird species such as the shoebill stork, Ituri Batis, Tit Hylia, blue throated roller, Uganda woodland warbler, forest robin, yellow billed and the grey throated.
Day 2
Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
After morning breakfast proceed on a game drive to search for the wildlife species such as buffaloes, birds the giraffes, lions, elephants, and many more. From here we take you back to the lodge as you get prepared for a boat cruise a boat cruise on the Nile River.
Day 3
Transfer to Kibale National Park
Early morning after breakfast, transfer from Murchison falls National Park we pass via the Lake Albert escarpments which has a unique beautiful view.
A stopover in Hoima for lunch then drive and passed Lake Nkusi joining along Lake Kyoga. On reaching Fort portal which is in the foot hills of Rwenzori Mountains filled with tea plantations, after appreciating this platform of green tea, you will proceed to Kibale National Park which is one of the great rain forests in Africa.
Kibale forest is well known for its Primate Species with chimpanzees being the chief trekked species. The other species include the White colobus and golden monkeys, as well as the bird species.
Upon arriving at the park, you will check in to your lodge and after proceed to visit the scenic crater lakes region on Nyinambuga plus the terraced tea plantations around the hills of fort portal then return to the lodge to enjoy your dinner and overnight.
Day 4
Engage in Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest& Bigodi wetland visit
Early morning starts a chimpanzee trek in Kibale forest. upon your search for these beautiful chimps, you will as well view many other primate and animal species such as red tailed Monkey, grey cheeked Mangabey the LHoests Monkeys, black and White colobus monkeys, pottos, bush babies and many bird species such as the rumped tinker bird, yellow spotted nictor, , green breasted pitta, black bee spotted eater as well as the elephants which are the mammals.
Day 5
Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park
This park was named after Queen Elizabeth the second and it has variety of wildlife species such as tree climbing lions, and the cape buffaloes, the impalas, kobs, forest hogs, elephants, buffaloes,
Early in the morning have breakfast, you will enjoy a walk along the foot hills of the Rwenzori Mountains were you will have a glance at the great peak of this mountains of the moon.
After the walk, continue with your transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park in a 3 hours’ drive away from Kibale National Park.
This famous conservation area is bordered by Lake Edward in the south west and in the north east, it’s bordered by Lake George.
Day 6
Game drive & afternoon boat cruise-Queen
In a morning game drive, you will see various animals like lions, antelopes, elephants, elands, buffaloes, among others.
Later return to the lodge have lunch then set off for boat cruise on Kazinga channel where you will see numerous numbers of animals like buffaloes, crocodiles, hippos, water bucks, as well as birds like the King fishers , storks, among others.

Day 7
A nature walk within Maramagambo Forest & an afternoon game drive
Early morning, we take you on a nature walk through the Maramagambo forest which is one of the second largest forests in Uganda which is home to a number of primates and many forest inhabitants. Other species in the forest include the butterflies, birds, bats and the chimpanzees which are found in Kyambura Gorge with in the forest.
Along the walk we pass through the volcanic caves which are home to thousands of bat species as well as the predator pythons. These pythons prey on the bats which leave within the cave. The walk will expose you to the blue lake Kimeranjo to the Crater Lake and the kyambura gorge where the chimpanzees are trekked.
In the afternoon after lunch, you will proceed for the game drive through the Ishasha sector were you will be able to view the tree climbing lions and many other animal species including kobs, monkeys birds, buffalos, elephants, among others.
Day 8
Depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast embark Bwindi forest a home to Mountain gorillas covering an area of 331 sq km. Pass through the Ishasha sector where you will take pleasure in watching tree-climbing lions, also enjoy various spectacular landscapes on your way. Arrive in the park and have a guided nature walk, have dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge of your choice.
Day 9
Gorilla trekking -Bwindi impenetrable national park
Early morning, we take a walk into Bwindi impenetrable forest and meet the gentle giants and other wildlife species such as elephants, buffaloes, monkeys, butterflies and different bird species. You are only permitted one hour with the gorillas. Late in the evening hours you can go for a community visit or guided nature walk.
Day 10
Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Early morning, we start with transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, which one of the Uganda’s smallest national parks and home to over 330 species of birds, animals like Kobs, warthogs, buffaloes, Oribis, zebras among others. On arrival you will check in at the lodge and later head for a guided nature walk through the park. Have dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 11
Game drive and an afternoon boat cruise
A game drive through the park where your eyes will be fed with amazing sights and wildlife of different species, go for lunch and then had for boat ride along the lake where we shall find water inhabitants such as crocodiles, and hippos among others.
Day 12
Return to Kampala/Entebbe
Early morning, go for a game drive through the park as you embark on your journey back to Kampala. Have lunch, proceed with the journey and stopover at the equator to have experiments and take enough photos. Later arrive in Kampala in the evening.
