1 DAY CHIMPANZEE TREKKING SAFARI IN UGANDA TO BUDONGO FOREST

A one-day chimpanzee trekking in Budongo Forest (Kaniyo Pabidi in Murchison Falls National Park)

Tour overview

Budongo Forest reserve is located in Western part of Uganda approximately a 3 hours’ drive away from Kampala as you head to the famous Murchison Falls national Park.

This forest reserve is home to different wildlife species such as bird species, mammals, months trees, primate’s species, butterflies, and so on. Budongo forest is also famous for mahogany trees and a big number of Chimpanzees of around 700.  The trekking can take an hour or full day depending on the route used and the location of the species.

Our trekking starts at 8:00 am led by the ranger guides to look for the amazing beauty of nature and these species. The forest reserve is managed both by the Uganda wildlife Authority (UWA) and the Jane Good all Institute.

Detailed Tour itinerary

Our driver will pick you with a guide from your hotel and drive towards destination Budongo for the trekking. Our guide will explain to you each and every detail of concerning the tour

The journey will proceed via Masindi which is blessed with beautiful sceneries and views of nature. along the way. On the arrival at Pabidi, have lunch at our organized restaurants or hotel as we prepare  you for Chimpanzee tracking.

As you track you will be guided by the ranger guides who are skilled and knowledgeable about these primates, during this you will also be able to see various tree species like, monkeys, olive monkeys, snakes and birds can also be spotted. Upon finishing the trekking, you will start off your journey back to Kampala whereby you will arrive in the evening.
